The urban transformation projects planned in historical urban areas predicting radical changes on traditional fabric directly affect the city identity. The relationship between space and identity is a complex and continuous process that feeds each other and renews itself. Every change or transformation regarding the space causes the identity of space to be re-formed in memory, thus the relationship between space and identity is stratified. Although the multi-layered nature of the cities, which are affected by these changes and transformations on a large scale, is one of the indicators of their cultural wealth, the inability of the layers that make up the city to preserve their own traces and the occasional necessary reconstruction result in the change of urban identity. Today the urban transformation projects, which have been planned in many cities of our country recently and foresaw the radical change / transformation of the urban space, are practices that also destroy the architectural identity of that city. However, the areas that are in the neighborhood of the historical city center and which are valuable for a period are exposed to negative social and physical changes over time, especially due to user change, and it may be necessary to disappear. In the study, Þükran district, which is located in the neighborhood of the historical city center, which is connected to Konya Meram county, has been discussed. Demolitions and constructions started within the scope of the "Meram Transformation" project within the boundaries of Þükran District which spreads over a wide area. As a result it can be said that; having a holistic approach in urban transformation projects to be implemented in historical traditional urban areas, making applications that emphasize historical values, making the right decisions in order to achieve identity integrity in urban morphology will constitute an important part of the identity.
